PROFILE OF PASTOR Dr. HAZEL HANSON
Hardworking, adorable, zealous, energetic, loving, honest, admirable, noble, special, obedient and natural
for but few adjectives to describe Pastor Dr. Hazel Hanson.
Born in a peaceful community of Retrieve in the Parish of Hanover, Jamaica Dr. Hanson Migrated to Canada in
1973 and became a formable Jamaican Canadian.
In 1974, she married Mr. Silbert Hanson and the union transpired a family of four children. Pastor Hanson
is a committed wife, mother and Grandmother. She is also blessed to have her wonderful adorable mother
living with her.
As a young woman, gifted with many intellectual abilities, Pastor Hanson worked earnestly to complete a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies. She has been awarded an Honorary Doctors Degree in Humanities
for her tireless dedication in aiding to relieve poverty, particularly children whose parents cannot afford
for them to complete their education, local and global community.
Pastor Hanson has serve in many areas of the church and the wider community and has being honoured for her
outstanding contribution towards the work of the Lord.
Pastor Hanson's joy is to serve God's people with humility, and she takes great pride in doing so. When she
was called by the Lord she gave up her job at Bay crest where she was serving as a medical administrator
for an upward of twenty (20) years.
In 1992, Compassionate Outreach Foundation Inc (COFI), a non-profit registered charitable organization, was
divinely inspired by God.
This Ministry provides for the basic needs of children and adults around the world. COFI has also donated
over 100 computers to schools in Jamaica, to facilitate computer-training programs and assist those in rural
areas who have limited access to training for well paying jobs.
Apart from her work with the Outreach Foundation, Pastor Hanson was anointed by God as the Pastor of
Faith Deliverance International Ministry (FDIM), based out of her hometown Woodbridge which is located in
the region of Vaughan, Ontario.
Because of her faithfulness to God, the Lord used her to establish a church in Retrieve, Hanover, Jamaica.
In 2009, God blessed FDIM and COFI with a beautiful church building, which is the heart and home of the
ministry and its charitable work.
Pastor Hanson's objective, through FDIM and COFI is to lend a helping hand, inspire hope, and provide
children with life's essentials. "There is no greater investment than investing in children, and there
is no greater honour and joy than to invest in those who cannot afford nor have the means to help themselves".
Pastor Hanson has a vision with a passion and holds steadfast to her motto, "I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day:
the night cometh, when no man can work". (John 9:4)
