COFI the Name

The name COFI means Compassionate Outreach Foundation INC.

Our Vision- COFI’s Vision is from God.

To help the poor, the down trodden and those without hope, particularly children, by providing their basic physical, social and spiritual needs so that they can help themselves and in turn help others; to value and appreciate life, understand their purpose and environment, love their neighbours and to have a sense of belonging and concern for people that leads to positive contributions to society. COFI’s vision to help the poor and hopeless is boundless and irrespective of race, colour or creed.

Our Mission- COFI’s mission is ordained by God.

To bring hope to the hopeless and meet the needs of the poor, particularly children, so that they can help themselves by empowering them to do so through self development, counseling, vocational and technical training, development of employable skill sets and academics and the clothing and feeding of the naked and hungry unlimited to any geographic location. To ensure self development of youth leads to better family relationships, better communities and cities, where these youth would be our leaders and concerned citizens seeking the best for our nation.

We go where the need is

COFI supports other charities in developing countries through donations of food and other needed supplies. COFI provides 1600 needy children with free meals five (5) days per week in over 60 schools in 11 parishes across Jamaica. The organization sends aid to needy communities in Nigeria, the Cayman Islands, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, and St Kitts / Nevis. COFI has donated, set up and maintains 100 computers in a computer training centre in Hopewell, Jamaica.
